Five Points of Life Kid’s marathon encourages fitness, earns 2 schools a few extra cash

Hundreds and hundreds of people took on 26.2 miles for Servis First Bank First Light Marathon hosted by Mobile Sports Authority. And kids were not really behind them as they did the same in their own way. The Five Points of Life Kid’s Marathon recommends the young people to run twenty-five miles before they line up to the beginning line of First Light 1.2 mile fun run.

Lifesouth’s District Community Development Coordinator Angela Williams told that 344 students took part in Kid’s Marathon on Sunday. The Five Points of Life Foundation offers a total of US$ 500 to along schools with the most enrolled students taking part and the school with highest percentage of participants.

The Saraland Elementary School earned US$ 250 with hundred students enrolled. The Dauphin Island Elementary School got US$ 250 with thirteen percent of students taking part in this.

The MBNA Chester Marathon organizers are lionizing a lovely start to this year after the race was called as one of the United Kingdom’s Top-10 Marathons. The readers of the magazine voted their favorite races and distinguished the Chester race for the quality of its route.
